The UKMCS is an organisation created to help advance the diagnosis and management of cardiac disease in pregnancy through awareness, education and research, in order to support the delivery of high quality, safe and equitable maternal cardiology care nationally and internationally.

Our membership represents healthcare professionals actively involved in the care of women with cardiac disease in pregnancy or research in this field. Membership of the UK Maternal Cardiology Society is divided into three categories best suited to the maternal cardiac workforce, including those retired and persons from organisations and charities involved in the support of women and families affected by cardiac disease in pregnancy.

  • Maternal Critical Care: It Takes a Team, Intensive Care Society and UKMCS

    Thursday 7th May 2026, 9am – 5.15pm

    This multidisciplinary study day explores the recognition and management of the critically unwell pregnant and postpartum patient across the entire care pathway. Bringing together experts from pre-hospital care, maternity services, and intensive care, the programme focuses on early identification of deterioration, safe transfer, and evidence-based management of common maternal emergencies.
